  1. Statement of Intent
    The purpose of this privacy statement is to provide details of how the Civic Society of Great Yarmouth will collect, store and use the personal data supplied to it by its members. Personal data is information which relates to identifiable living individuals and consists of e.g. name, address, email address and telephone numbers. The Society will always collect and process personal data in accordance with current legislation.
  1. Collection of Personal Data
    Members of the Civic Society of Great Yarmouth will be asked to provide certain personal data as is required to enable registration of membership. This information will not be used for any other purposes. Providing such information implies consent to its use and storage in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.
  1. Use of Personal Data
    The Society will use this data only for the purposes for which it is provided (membership) or for additional purposes for which consent will have been obtained (newsletter and Society events).  We do not allow third parties to use the data we collect.
  1. Storage, Correction and Deletion
    The Society will retain the personal data it holds for the term of a person’s membership or until a member sends us notice that they no longer wish us to retain this data.  Members will be supplied with a copy of the personal data we hold about them if they contact the Society by post or by email (see website for contact details). If a member discovers any inaccuracies they should notify us as soon as possible so that we may correct our records.

We may make changes to this Privacy Policy by posting the new version on our website.
